MBU is also a drop off location for our youth participating in Scouting for Food , the largest one-day food drive for the BSA. Merit Badge University (MBU) is a bi-annual event hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council that gives Scouts, ages 11-17 the opportunity to earn merit badges ranging from recreational activities like photography and horsemanship to Eagle Scout required merit badges like communications and sustainability. A one day event is hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council, for Boy Scouts in the 6th-12th Grade or ages 11-17.
