i just ordered 7 more hard drives ($336) with the remainder of our crowdfunded moneys.
we still need at least another $1,000 for remaining hard drives, batteries and power supplies.
another 50 laptops to go!

UPDATE: anotha tiny update – 3 more laptops distro’d yesterday and we outfitted another half dozen with hard drives and operating systems ready to go 🙂 25 more are ready to go – will reach out to those of you receiving by the end of the week.
also for transparency’s sake, we’ve received cash donations to the tune of $355, Bitcoin donations amounting to approximately $420, and about $150 in Paypal donations, plus $20 to a post i made on my private account for a grand total of ~$3,400 raised. I purchased another 11 hard drives today, and we’ve thus far spent $3,227. i think we need a few more power supplies, batteries & hard drives but we are close to making it! thanks to all who contributed and those who’ve helped get them ready, distributed & delivered!
