I love that we are still getting major plots with past couples....maybe Cait and Tick are the equivalent of Virgin River's Mel and Jack, just without all the women's health advice. She uses her experiences as a cop’s wife to become a writer of romantic suspense! She also excels at writing emotion into the story. The Hamptons, and the small businesses that thrive there, serve as a source of inspiration for her. He has children from his first marriage that ended because he was committed to his job (former FBI, now cop.) When she tells him the truth about their baby, the past doesn’t matter. Either way, I enjoyed this story a lot, I just wish I'd felt more. I'm not sure if the story would've packed a bigger punch if I'd read the series in order rather than jumping in to this book first.

I got tired of both main characters wondering if the other cared for them as much as they cared for the other. 3.5 stars, This was an incredibly well written romantic suspense. The episode where the H was with his daughter tore me up but it was well done and not over the top.
