I've been coming to this cinema for nearly twenty years now, putting up with the squeaky seat, lack of cup holders and sticky floors mostly because it was usually quiet and I like a quiet cinema.However, since the revamp I feel like my perseverance in keeping coming back has been rewarded, the new De Lux version is amazing. This was a belated birthday party for my daughter in December with her friends. Great seating but not sure why I paid extra for the XPlus experience?

The new updated Showcase De Lux on the other hand is a top notch location to watch all the new releases and gives the Cinewrld in Huntingdon a run for it's money as the best local cinema.First of all I would advise ordering your tickets online before coming in. so was a very plesant surprise that I saw that they were being upgraded to a De Lux Showcase which is ongoing, apparently they are about half way through and should be done by end of July!The screening I saw was excellent the Screen is as good and an imax perhaps better and the Dolby Atmos sound was spectacular!

Best cinema seats ever! At the moment the lobby is still being revamped but I'm sure when it opens it will be just as good. It is so much better and comfortable. We didn't see this when booking online. Showcase has undergone a massive transformation, and it is fantastic. We were interested to try it out as we have lived in Southampton all our lives and Odeon is so old and smelly we were very excited to have this new one.

The seats are... Great cinema, clean and tidy with great comfort.

So we moved to where she insisted we sit. When you find someone in your seat, move them, they need to learn to read one day, may as well be today! Wow, well finally they have done something about those horrible green seats.

We found it very vague and did not explain what kind of seat you were buying and what the package was. Really Slow service for food/drinks.

Not impressed given the 'hype' it's received.

I know, the cinema has never been cheap but the popcorn was flavourless and the drinks machine (self service) didn't have the flavour I wanted. Whereas this cinema used to be behind the times and lacking the basics such a cup-holder, Showcase is now the best cinema, with the best / most comfortable viewing experience I know of outside of my own home.The self serve drinks area seems to cause a tiny bit of confusion, but I am sure people will get used to it / figure it out. So comfortable and all seats recline. Of course, with every revamp some things still stay the same. If you want to cut down on competition for the best seat, try finding a theater that uses reserved seating.
