It's really fortunate that this place has survived through some tough times in all its splendor. This is truly an Oakland gem. The prices aren't bad at all and the theater experience is much improved from some of the rough days I remember when coming as a kid. I was in complete awe of my surroundings. The Grand's employees could have simply started the movie and the quality of the film alone would have have been wonderful to experience. I also love that some of theaters have two levels, I really enjoy watching movies from higher up.
