where are athlon optics made

For example, most of Athlon’s scopes are made in China and in Japan but it still depends on the model and on the type of optics. I saw on optics planet the other day a ” Made in USA” sticker on an Athlon scope ….Have they moved their operation stateside ? I had an old SImmons scope that the wheel I used was just a tad too big.

I'm like 99% positive that when I spoke to them all but their most expensive scope (Japan) was made in China ...And before this thread takes an Anti-China turn .....I'm just curious . I was able to fit the UTG side wheel on my Athlon 6-24x50 Argos by sanding off a bit of the rubber nubs inside the wheels center with a drimel. With these advantages we are able to deliver products to consumers with great cost savings. Worked Perfectly…nice and snug with No wobble. Maybe some are assembled in the USA. It looks like it could be secured if you wrapped something like painters tape, a piece of aluminum can or similar, around the knob to firm it up, then tightened its set screws. Worked Perfectly...nice and snug with No wobble. I just put a Athlon Talos btr 4-14×44 ffp on a puncher breaker, love the glass but the reticle is a little hard to see in low light conditions ( I'm in my fossil yrs ).

The 50mm ACME sunshade fits the 50mm Argos and Helos, and can sometimes be had for 1/2 the price. Have to buy a sunshade separate too , did your models come with a sunshade ? So there it is Joe. The side focus knob is smaller on the Athlon 4-14×44 Talos scope, causing an un-modified UTG wheel to fit over it loosely. Athlon is a proud US sports optics product company. The hawke comes with all the goodies but the talos I have to buy the sunshade separate & not sure if I can get a sidewheel for it, something people have to consider ( more $ ).
