You will get a strawberry stamp on your hand showing you paid. We got hot cider for our walk, and I imagine the beverages change with the season. It was sweet and tart. Lots of spots for the perfect photo op too.

After tasting you can buy a glass and head to the sitting areas (both inside or out) or the lit up porch. They had "pick your own" pumpkins and mums which I thought was really fun!

We love Spencer Farms and can not recommend it enough! Each row has white flags to let you know where the previous customers stopped picking to help you find areas that aren't over picked.

We come every season to pick a different fresh fruit or asparagus, gourds, mums, and go on free hayrides to pick pumpkins! Hints: 1) call or check the website to confirm what you want to pick is available.
Wine  very good as well! Most places you go on a hay ride and pick a pumpkin out. Credit cards are accepted and they have snacks inside to purchase as well.

You can bring your own scissors to cut or they have some that are provided.The gift shop has fresh baked pies, fudge, ice cream as a few delicious indulgences you can choose from. Their tasting counter is 5 dollars for 5 tastes of wine. They do take credit card and have different strawberry themed desserts on site. You can't see the sunflowers from the road. They give you a container to put the strawberries in and assign you to a row so you don't get a spot that's already been picked over.

When you arrive be sure to drive past the 1st building and follow signs to the back to where the picking fields are. Not too crowded and there were plenty of berries to pick.

An 1805 Historic Family Farm turned into a model Community Educational Farm, They have pumpkin carving kits inside which is great.

Our Summer Camps have 50-100 children weekly the whole summer. We went to pick strawberries/get a few insta pics. I'm from a smaller town in Indiana, right by the Michigan boarder and we would always go to a place just like this. We have served over 15,000 children in our After School which has 30 children each day coming from schools all over Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Carrboro It's a beautiful farm and they are well organized for social distancing!

Since first growing PYO fruit in 1973, our range of fruit and vegetables has grown considerably, making for a great family activity. It's quaint. We carry seasonal produce, local honey, maple syrup and much more. The mums are blooming beautifully now and needless to say the. It was fun to pick and the families with little kids were good entertainment while I worked on having enough to make jam.They also have a cute little store, they have some house goods, ice cream, fresh baked pies (hubby had two pieces this afternoon).The season won't last long so I'd get out there if you're interested in fresh berries!
