On the way to Mount Cook Village I made a short break at this beautiful lookout post.

A must stop on the way to Mt Cook. But I did not try it, not sure how fresh it is....so is up to you.....?? Highly recommended.

Lake Pukaki takes up spot number six on the list of New Zealand’s ten largest lakes.

We stopped en route to Aoraki/Mt Cook just to take photos but many people were picnicking.

The waters of lake Pukaki enthrall the viewer as it takes on the glacial blue colour against the mountain views. I highly recommend stopping over to view this amazing lake if travelling to Christchurch or Queenstown.

I feel that is a bit costly so we just purchased a box for testing. So, where’s the best lookout point for Lake Pukaki? A must stop on the way to Mt Cook. Swim in the clear water and stay one night on the free camground in the south-east of the lake.
